Description
The beauty of the North Carolina and Virginia mountains and forests. The Blue Ridge Mountains, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and elsewhere. The North Carolina and Virginia mountains - trees, flowers, snow, rocks, lakes, rivers, creeks and streams. It's all there to enjoy all seasons of the year - winter, spring, summer, and fall.
Orange Rhododendron in the Blue Ridge Mountains pictured next to lichen or moss covered rocks on a foggy morning. Orange rhododendron is not necessarily a rare flower, but growing wild it is somewhat a rarity in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The original fine art photograph was taken along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia in the Rocky Knob area. Rocky Knob is a few miles north on the parkway from the famous Mabry Mill. The morning was extremely foggy but the bright orange flower stuck through it. 8116. #photography #painting #homedecor #fineart
