Sunrise on the beach on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This original picture was taken on Ocracoke Island. Yes, it's a sunrise so it's early. Still, it's summer and there is not another soul on the beach. On Ocracoke Island you can find solitude like this in the middle of a summer day, too. If you like noisy beaches with lots of people, stretches of beach like this is not for you. On the other hand, if you like solitude and peace, there are beaches on the Outer Banks where it can be found. Especially on Ocracoke Island.
