From the unique Outer Banks to the memorable Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina has it all - beautiful beaches and the highest mountains on the East Coast of the United States. NC has something for all to enjoy all seasons of the year - winter, spring, summer, and fall.
The Pisgah Covered Bridge is one of only 2 remaining historic covered bridges in North Carolina. It is located in the Uwharrie National Forest just outside Asheboro, North Carolina and lies south of Greensboro, North Carolina
Believe it or not, the bridge was built for a mere fourty dollars in 1911. The bridge spans the Little River and is 54 feet in length. In 2003 the historic bridge was washed away in a flood, but luckily 91% of the original wood was recovered. The bridge was rebuilt using it.
