Artist's Description

The beauty of the Outer Banks OBX and North Carolina coast. Unique art for decorating or gifts from fine artist Dan Carmichael. Paintings and photos.

This old boat was shipwrecked, beached by a hurricane / tropical storm that swept over the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Over a period of 15 to 18 months, and weighted down by bags of camera equipment, I took the long trek over the sand dunes only to discover that the majority of times it was completely buried under the sand. But during the other times it was not, I took many fine art photographs of the shipwreck during all seasons of the year and all times of the day and night. Over the years I have discovered no other fine art pictures of the boat exist.Named Blood and Guts.

Ironically, as another hurricane / tropical storm swept over the Outer Banks, over a short period of 4 days the boat was broken up and sucked back out to sea, never to be seen again. Many pictures of this boat can be seen in my galleries. Thi...
