A soft almost pastel sunset on Ocracoke Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina; available in traditional fine art photography and painted photograph styles; 3818-20
I like this picture because it feels soft - smooth - pastel-like. The photograph was taken in mid-november and it was quite chilly. The sun was far to the south and it is also why the beach is so deserted. I planted the tripod in the sand below the waterline. Getting a little wet with waves breaking around the shoes and ankles was worth it. I positioned myself there to get the orange reflection in the water.
