The Bodie Lighthouse on the Outer Banks in North Carolina showing the lighthouse, marsh area next to the lighthouse, and the boardwalk over the marsh; available in traditional fine art photography and painted photograph versions; this is the traditional version; 6371-73
The Bodie lighthouse was recently renovated. The interior and exterior were repaired, it was given a new paintjob, and a new boardwalk over the marsh next to it was built. As of April 16, 2013 the lighthouse is open to visitors.
I shot this picture just prior to the public opening. On one of the versions, I created a painted photograph that has the style of a watercolor.
