The final days of an old friend. I photographed this beached boat for approximately 15 to 18 months. It was located on Pea Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I took pictures in all seasons, at all times of the day and night, in many different weather conditions.Named Blood and Guts.
Many other pictures of it can be seen in these galleries. Here, the boat is in its last days. Having been shipwrecked and washed ashore in a storm, here a storm is taking it back out to sea again. In less than four days of beating by the surf and waves, it was gone. Never to be seen again. 4500. Original art for decorating or gifts from fine art photographer and artist Dan Carmichael.
