The beauty of the North Carolina and Virginia mountains and forests. The Blue Ridge Mountains, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and elsewhere. The North Carolina and Virginia mountains - trees, flowers, snow, rocks, lakes, rivers, creeks and streams. It's all there to enjoy all seasons of the year - winter, spring, summer, and fall.
Just after sunrise, the low-lying sun, having recently risen and being close to the horizon, casts long shadows. Here it is casting long shadows from a gate next to a farm and a cow pasture.
The original fine art photograph was taken along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Doughton Park area of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.
