The beauty of the Outer Banks (OBX) and North Carolina coast. The Outer Banks and North Carolina coast - ocean, beach, waves, surf, fishing, boats, sand dunes, . It's all there to enjoy all seasons of the year - winter, spring, summer, and fall.
Highway 12 is the main (and only) highway that runs north and south up and down the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The sun has not yet broken the horizon, but has filled the sky with sunrise orange.
This fine art picture was taken from the area of the Bodie Lighthouse and is looking east toward Highway 12 which is about 1/4 mile in the distance. In the photograph version you can clearly see the telephone poles where Highway 12 is. In the painting version, the telephone poles were removed during painting. 3888-90. #photography #painting #homedecor #fineart
