Description
A beautiful hilltop full of the flowers of summer in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. This picture was taken along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Doughton Park area. The purple flowers are Liatris which are commonly known as Blazing Star and sometimes called Gayfeather. The yellow flowers are Coreopsis and may have a few Lazy Eyed Susan thrown in. 0810.
